Another Decade Older

This is a quick review of the last ten years, things that have shaped my life and things that are memorable to me. I had to document it so I can feel like my life has meant something. I know 30 is the new 20 but somehow it feels like a time to reflect and make sure I am going in the right direction one I will be proud of in 50 years.

20-Lived with the coolest roomies ever in hot booty 207 finished my last semester at Ricks college. Went to Europe for the first time (I put first not because there has been a second but there will be).

21- Started my waitress career, lived in Jackson, Wyoming for the summer had the best babysitting gig ever. Got my first kiss and an associate degree all at Weber State in Ogden,Utah

22-Moved in with two cool musicians, shared our love of China then went to teach English in China. Wrecked the Taurus kind of a blessing but a little traumatic.

23-Graduated college with a B.S. in sociology and family studies. Met some more way cool and memorable friends living in the Eccles house. Received a mission call to Cebu Philippines.

24- Prepared for and left on a mission. Fell in love with the Philippines and so grateful to have been called there to serve a mission.

25- Returned from the Philippines. Met and fell in love with a man named Travis, kissed and got engaged all before my 26th birthday.

26-Got married had receptions in Alaska and Washington. Honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii. Hot booty 207 was reunited for a short time. Found out I was pregnant. Travis was doing trim carpentry and I was teaching all while living in a lovely 400 sq ft garage apt.

27- Baby Lane was born in Alaska then we all made the trip down to live in Oklahoma for a little while. Travis trained for his new job With the FAA. We endured OK and settled in Boise for a few months why we looked into buying our first house. Lane and I took a quick trip to Alaska.

28- After we looked at every house in this valley we finally bought one in Nampa Idaho. The Beus girls all got new last names, we had three weddings in 10 days. I got to use my degree and worked a little as a life coach. Lane and I went to Alaska again I can't stay away. We also took a really cool camping trip to Blue Lake while Allie was living with us.

29-Baby Palmer was the highlight of this year. We had a Phelan Reunion in Idaho it was great to all get together. We took a Family trip to Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. We traveled to Washington to spend Christmas and my birthday with the Beus clan.
30- So that brings us to year thirty who knows what it will bring We have some great events planned that I am looking forward to. So happy new year and hope 2010 is a good year for you all.

Christmas

Thanksgiving this year was not much to talk about when most people are enjoying the holidays we are usually stuck at home. But I am grateful for Travis' job and that he loves it, that makes me happy. I am also happy that we got to travel for a short time and spend Christmas with family in Washington. All Travis' siblings were there and we have doubled grand kids since we last all got together. There are now six almost seven. This was one of my favorite pictures. Lane and Carter gazing at the presents. So cute!

Halloween 2009

Lake Tahoe

We went Lake Tahoe in October and just had the best time.
That is our hotel high on the mountain.

We saw this huge full rainbow I couldn't even get it all.

It was warm enough to swim so we did it two days in a row we loved this beach.

We also went to an animal rescue zoo and this was the playground there.

Kisses

So I was making these yummy, yummy peanut blossoms because I had some kisses in my cupboard I wanted to do something with. Lane wanted to help, I like him to help me in the kitchen and probably trust him more than a 2 year old should be trusted. I gave him the job of unwrapping the kisses while I hurried to mix up the dough. As much as he wanted to be of service I think this was more than he could bare.Because this what I found when I went to put the kisses on the cookies. When I questioned him why did you eat them all he said "mom I just had a little bite k."
