Happy Birthday Lane! WE LOVE YOU!

Lane turned one year old yesterday. We are having a party for him today at winstead park. All who are close or will travel are invited. That is him with the little cake I made for him and the cupcakes for his party. He will get to dig into it today. That's why we are making it a water party, with toddlers and food you always need water! Lane I just wanted to let you know what a joy you have been to dad and I you are such an even tempered child. You have been so patient as we have learned to be parents I am glad you have been my traveling partner on many trips it has been so fun you are a well traveled tot! I am glad you are part of our family thanks for the fun year I hope to have many more.

Walking

Lane is walking but he is not always stable. When he is with older kids he tries to mimic them by walking, but when he is trying to get away from mom and dad crawling is much faster.

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures for Lanes first birthday. It looked like a beautiful day but it was windy and cold. I think we still got some good ones.
Lane is such a daddy's boy. He just barley started to say mama and it is more of a distress call. When Lane and I are playing and having fun he still calls me Daddy!

Smelling the flowers

This is lane smelling the flowers at the temple. Amanda and her friend Hannah came to stay with us for a couple days when school got out. Terra and Michelle(sorry girls we forgot to take a picture) came the next weekend it was so nice to have them come visit.
